Client: Uber & Janet Jackson
In August 2018, music and cultural icon Janet Jackson marked her return to the music scene with the release of her single “Made for Now.” In celebration, Janet Jackson partnered with Okayplayer and Uber for her journey to the Harlem Week block party, where she spoke about women empowerment, equality, and Uber’s contributions to advancing these social movements. As the Marketing Lead at Okayplayer, I spearheaded this partnership from ideation through execution. My role included overseeing the creative direction, ensuring that the visual and narrative elements aligned with the campaign's objectives. This comprehensive approach resulted in a highly successful campaign, exceeding the client's expectations with video views increasing by over 61%.
