About

Laura Alston is a Caribbean American creative director and multimedia artist who uses traditional and emerging mediums to highlight unsung narratives in a way that empowers and archives the history of marginalized communities. 

Earning a visual art degree from Ivy League institution Columbia University and supplemental education at Central Saint Martins and London College of Communication, Laura developed a holistic skillset in design and advertising that is rooted in storytelling.

She since has exhibited in museums like Studio Museum in Harlem and Tate Britain, designed a building-wide installation for The Africa Center, and creative directed commercials spots for Meta, Tinder, Uber and more.

Through her expertise in strategy, marketing and brand partnerships, Laura rose from Marketing Manager at media company Okayplayer, to Associate Creative Director at ad agency Adolescent Content to which now she serves as the Creative Director for creative agency, Artfullyours.
